Some photos of the White City…
The History
Ostuni (about 33.000 inhabitants), called the “White City,” is a charming town located on a hill in southern Puglia. Its historic center, called La Terra, is characterized by white houses painted with lime and narrow streets that climb to the top of the hill. The town still preserves parts of its ancient medieval walls, with towers and gates. At the top of the hill stands the Cathedral, a beautiful example of architecture that combines Romanesque, Gothic, and Venetian styles, offering a panoramic view of the ancient olive grove plain stretching to the sea.
